You could be forgiven for not making the connection between NLP courses and communication skills.

What many people don’t realise is the degree to which nlp  ( neuro-linguistic programming ) is used in education these days.  That’s mainly because they don’t tell you because they don’t even know themselves.

So here’s the relationship. NLP examines how really top notch communicators are so effective. Researchers “unpack” the way that star performers speak, use body language and expressions etc so that they have every single aspect isolated as seperate items.
They will also interview the person so that they know what they are thinking about and how they feel in their body. Investigators also ascertain if the subject expert was happy or sad, positive or negative and any other factor which may affect performance.

This process is known in nlp as modelling which basically means precision copying. The reason that so much detail is gone into is so that an NLP trainer can identify the factors that have the most significance in terms of reproducing the results and being able to teach the skills.

On an NLP course I attended once I heard NLP described by the trainer Topher ( Christopher ) Morrison as “the use of language with such precision that getting the result you planned becomes inevitable”

There’s a little bit more to it than that but it is all about precise use of language and gestures. Tonality and position combined with accelerated learning techniques that makes NLP courses so exciting to attend. Particularly if you do want improved results through improved communication skills
